At the club for over three decades and serving under multiple managers, he joined in the late 1960s and became a cornerstone of the backroom team through a transformative period in the club’s history.
His capability and compassion were felt during times of both triumph and loss. He was one of the first responders during the Ibrox Disaster, acting with courage in the face of tragedy. Just a year later, he was part of one of the club’s proudest evenings when we lifted the European Cup Winners’ Cup in Barcelona in 1972.
Dr. Cruickshank embodied the values of loyalty, humility, and professionalism, and his legacy lives on in the memories of those who worked alongside him.
He will be remembered as a cherished part of the Rangers family, and we extend our condolences to his family and friends at this time.
