The youngster found the target for the first time in a Light Blue jersey as she rounded off the scoring in the 7-0 win over Boroughmuir Thistle.
Speaking to RangersTV after the game the defender said: “I was just so happy.
"It was a very proud for my family and I, to be able to get my first goal for this club it just means a lot to me. It was very pleasing.
"I always want to try and contribute to this team; I am just glad I could do that today and get myself a goal and also other people scoring as well was also good.
“I think it was a really good game. There was lots of different people that scored which is always good. It was just good momentum to take us into next week against City, which is going to be hard opposition.”
The 18-year-old spoke of the positivity surrounding the squad at the moment after the win and clean sheet saw them wrap up 10 domestic wins in a row.
She continued: “It is very positive. All the girls have took me under their wing and just helped me build up my confidence and just overall help me become a better player.
“It is just good momentum. We are getting a clean sheet, they never really had anything on our side so it is always good.”
Austin challenged the team to be at the top of their game as they prepare themselves for a short trip to take on Glasgow City in seven days time.
She added: “The City game if we play the way that we can play I think we can get the win. It is very important that we go into the game knowing that they can also hurt us and ways that we can stop that.”
