Emma Brownlie: We Didn't Take Our Chances

DEFENDER Emma Brownlie feels Rangers didn't take their chances as they lost 1-0 in the first Old Firm of the SWPL season.

A 92nd minute penalty saw Celtic take all three points at Rangers Training Centre.

Speaking to RangersTV she said: "I think it is a tough one for us to take especially in the manner that we lost the game but it is on us.

"I think when we were on top in the first half we didn't take our chances. It is all about momentum in games of football you need to take your chances and kill the game off.

"Celtic are a good team they came at us a bit but I do feel we have good enough players out there and I don't think we played our best football today but we take that on the chin we learn from it and we move on.

"I don't think we deserved to lose the game but that's football we move on. Leagues are definitely not lost in November so we take that as a learning curve and we into next week."

Brownlie says it is now important Rangers react in the right way moving into next week.

She continued: "I think as a squad we are gelling, at the moment it's that final third, it's that taking our chances but that will come in time.

"When you lose games it is how you react and move onto next week so we will be raring to go again."
