RANGERS Academy will be represented at the FIFA Under-17 World Cup after Archie Stevens celebrated a call-up to the England squad this morning.
The 17-year-old attacker will form part of Ryan Garry’s 21-man squad for the upcoming tournament in Indonesia.
Stevens has been part of the England Under-18s set-up across the previous two international breaks, impressing sufficiently to warrant selection for the prestigious youth tournament.
The teenager made his Rangers first-team debut in a League Cup victory over Queen of the South last season and he has continued to impress at both Under-18s and B Team level in the last 12 months.
The young Lions have been drawn into Group C where they will square off against Brazil, Iran and New Caledonia.
England will be looking to reclaim the crown that they lifted back in 2017 with a squad including Phil Foden, Jadon Sancho and Emile Smith Rowe, among others.
