Locked at 0-0 with just over 15 minutes remaining the midfielder produced a moment of brilliance as the Gers went on to seal their place in the final at Hampden Park.
Speaking to RangersTV after the match the midfielder was happy to contribute on the night and was glad his work on the training pitch was able to pay off.
He said: “I was just wanted to try hit into the top corner and just to take more shots, that is what I have been trying to practice in training, just to hit more shots and luckily that one went in the top corner so I was buzzing.
“We just came in at half time just saying that we were the better team, we just needed that goal and luckily it came from me.”
The midfielder was grateful for the opportunity to play in front of the Ibrox crowd and says he will take the experience from the night into his career moving forward.
He added: “I want to thank all the under 18s coaching staff for giving me that opportunity and believing in me, and luckily we won 3-0 with a good performance.
“I am going to take everyone from it, the fans were brilliant tonight, and just playing in front of a crowd and getting used to first team experiences.”
Curtis has praised the young Gers backline with the team yet to concede a goal in the competition as they now look forward to an Old Firm showdown against Celtic in the final.
Curtis said: “The defence have been unbelievable throughout the tournament, we have been taking games step by step and now Celtic at Hampden, you couldn't ask for a better final.
"We will just take it game and step by step, when the final comes we will just work on that, I am buzzing for it.”
