The win restored the triumphant feeling among the group after a challenging few weeks in the league for the Gers, who will now shift their attention to the final week of the SWPL campaign in their pursuit of league leaders Hibernian.
Speaking to RangersTV after the victory, the forward commented: “After the last couple of results, we wanted to go out and put in a performance; work hard and for each other.
“I think first and foremost that’s what we done, and the goals then look after themselves.
“We know we haven’t been good enough recently. By our standards, it’s not good enough, and putting in a performance like we did today is exactly what we’re about.
“We need to take that into the last few games now and keep that as consistent as possible.
“What was Jo’s message at half-time? We were doing well moving the ball, but it was just that final touch, in terms of the finish or final ball, which we needed to tidy up on.
“I thought we done that in the second half and obviously scored a few more goals. It’s important that we take on information at half-time and put that right.”
Remarkably, Wilkinson has now netted three separate hat-tricks against the Lanarkshire outfit this campaign.
She continued: “They seem to be a team that I like scoring goals against! But I think it’s credit to the team today.
“We stuck at it, worked hard, and put the work in on the training ground this week to turn it around. We need to make sure we take it into next week now and keep pushing forward.”
Indeed, the Light Blues make the trip to face Celtic in seven days’ time, before locking horns with Hearts and Hibernian before the season’s conclusion in a fortnight.
And the 30-year-old says it’s important that her side maintain the standard that they’ve set for the majority of the campaign heading into the final three fixtures of the campaign.
She added: “We need to take it game-by-game. We need to look back on today’s performance, analyse, work hard in training, and then we focus on the next 90 minutes.
“That’s exactly what we want to do.
“We need to focus on ourselves. We need to put in the work in training and make sure the performances are at a standard that we expect of ourselves.
“The goals and points will look after themselves if we do that.”
