Established in 1992 by visionaries Tam Plunkett, David Murray, and others, NARSA's inception was a game-changer. With the backing of Rangers FC, we set out to spread the Rangers spirit across the entire continent of North America, and decades later, that mission is still at our core.
Our Mission
NARSA is your gateway to experiencing Rangers FC from afar. Here's how we make it happen:
Live and On-Demand Game Access: The core of what we do is watch Rangers games. In collaboration with RTV, we ensure that Rangers FC games are accessible live and on-demand for NARSA clubs across North America.
Annual Conventions: We host spectacular annual gatherings that are more of a season-ending party than a ‘convention’. Simply put, they're Rangers extravaganzas!
Spreading the word about Rangers FC: Building community and connection across the globe is at the centre of who we are and what we do.
Why We Do It
For the same reason as Blue Noses across the world – our hearts beat for Rangers FC. Despite the challenge of being 3,000-5,000 miles from Ibrox, each NARSA member club overcomes geographical quirks, rallies together, and transforms watching the games into an experience. It's about the love of the club and the community it builds.
The NARSA ‘Convention’
This year, NARSA has officially partnered with Rangers and Rangers’ Official Destination Partner Experience Kissimmee for the ultimate Rangers experience, taking place June 12-15. We will be joined by guests Mark Hateley and John ‘Bomber’ Brown as well as club officials and special guests.
Think of the NARSA Convention as the ultimate Rangers party of the year! It is an end-of-season immersive experience in Kissimmee; The Big Bold Heart of Florida! The event is filled with laughter, camaraderie, and more than a few drinks. Immerse yourself in this unique festivity featuring Rangers FC legends and like-minded fans.
Typical Itinerary:
Thursday PM – Welcome Night: Kick off the weekend by reacquainting with old friends and making new ones in a friendly, festive atmosphere.
Friday AM – Davie Cooper Memorial Golf Tournament: Tee off with Rangers’ royalty on a stunning local golf course.
Friday PM – Tam Plunkett Blue Night: Enjoy a vibrant atmosphere, a Rangers VIP Q&A session, and cultural entertainment.
Saturday AM – Absent Friends Football Match: Toast those no longer with us, and burn off last night’s fun by playing with or getting coached by a Rangers legend.
Saturday AM – NARSA AGM: A concise business session for members only.
Saturday PM – Walter Smith Memorial Grand Banquet: Dress to impress for an exquisite 3-course meal and live entertainment, all in memory of the great man himself.
Sunday AM/PM – Leaving Do: Conclude the celebration casually with friends old and new.
