GIOVANNI van Bronckhorst says Rangers are 'determined’ to bring the UEFA Europa League trophy back to Glasgow as they prepare for tomorrow evening’s final in Sevilla.
Gers trained at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan Stadium tonight as kick-off against Eintracht Frankfurt edges ever closer.
The boss spoke to the media in Spain this afternoon and believes his squad are ready for the challenge. He said: “The mood is very very good, we are all excited to play the final tomorrow, preparations have gone very well.
“We had light training this evening and tomorrow we have the final meetings for our game plan but we are ready.
“I am very proud to be manager of the team and even prouder to take the boys into the final. It is a huge opportunity to get the second major European prize in history for this club so we are very determined to bring the trophy back with us.”
Van Bronckhorst is expecting an exciting final against the Bundesliga side as the Gers squad face their third German team in this European journey.
He continued: “We respect Eintracht Frankfurt, they have had an amazing run in Europe as well so it is going to be an exciting final. A final is always nice when you win but if you lose you don’t like it so we are here to win it.
“We had a walk at the time of the kick-off yesterday and we have prepared today with a light session to get used to the heat. At 9 o’clock it will be less warm but we will be ready, we have protocol when we play in warm conditions, we will be fine.”
