The Light Blues will kick off a busy October schedule with the clash against Robbie Neilson’s side as they look to build on the victory over Dundee United prior to the international break.
Speaking to the media ahead of the game, he said: "The differences are very close at the top. There’s all to play for. We only concentrate on the three points. If it makes us top of the league then so be it. Our main objective is to get the three points tomorrow against Hearts.
"The win against Dundee United helped us in terms of getting back to the three points. The only thing we can do is stay focused on winning our games. That's the most important thing that we have to do. We want to continue the run of winning in the league.
Rangers enjoyed a strong record against Hearts last season, which included victory in the Scottish Cup final in May, and the Gers boss insists his side will be well prepared for the challenge that the Edinburgh side will pose.
He added: "They always give us a tough game. The Scottish Cup final that we played a few months, they had a good game. I'm pleased to see them play in Europe, not only for Hearts as a club but also for Scottish football.
"We have analysed them well. We always have a tough game away against Hearts. The last couple of games they were very positive outcomes for us. We have to show the same spirit that we showed at Tynecastle before and give everything to get the result that we want."
