The Light Blues’ defender spoke to the press today ahead of the match and says attention quickly turned to the United match following Tuesday night’s UEFA Champions League qualifier against Malmo.
He said: “I think it was a weird one in midweek, I don’t think there was much in the game, we obviously had a crazy two minutes but I think at the end of the game Steven Davis’ goal was a massive swing and it made us come out of there with a lot of confidence.
“It is a big mentality change, we know we have got a massive game coming up on Tuesday but Saturday is just as important. We know at this football club every game is a massive game and we need to go and deliver another three points."
Goldson underlined his progress at the club and the development the younger players are building every day, adding: “It has been good, I think my development here over the three years has been big and that is due to the coaches here, the facilities are amazing, so it is a great place for a young player to develop.
“There is every reason to develop and become a great player here. Long may that continue.”
Ibrox will welcome a full house for Tuesday night’s Champions League game against Malmo, Goldson discussed his excitement to welcome a full stadium for the first time since March 2020. He said: “I can't wait to have the fans back.
“Having my family at games is amazing, my son has been asking to go back to the blue house, but I had to let him know we are away! We can't wait for the noise on Tuesday.”
