The 28-year-old is expecting a tough match in Aberdeen and says the Gers squad know they will need to perform to their best.
Speaking to the media at this morning’s pre-match press conference, he said: “We know what performance is needed, we know what intensity is needed to get us the three points and we have been working hard this week on little tweaks to improve.
“We spoke about it earlier this week that it is better to fix the roof when the sun is shining, we haven't had to wait for a blip to be able to work and improve.
“We have worked all this week on adjustments we can make, we have watched clips of the last few games of how we can improve as a team and hopefully that leads us well into the next few games.
“Pittodrie is always a difficult place to go, we know that. They are obviously third in the league and it has been difficult for us over the years.”
With 18 clean sheets and only five goals conceded in the 22 league games so far this season, Rangers have been strong at the back.
Goldson, who has played every minute for the Light Blues, insists it is a team effort.
He continued: “Obviously we know that keeping as many clean sheets as possible will be important, only needing one goal to win a game is obviously a big thing.
“It is not just the defence it is the whole team working hard. We know that the more clean sheets we get the more chance we will get of being successful as a team.
“It has been really good playing alongside Leon Balogun, I am enjoying it. He is a really good defender, really athletic, really aggressive with his style of defending he likes to get tight to people and win the ball which I think has been a feature of our play this season.
“I feel like we are locking teams in now and not letting them attack us as much as they would obviously like to so I think he has been brilliant.
“Him and Fil [Helander] have picked up a few little niggles so being able to change as they have done has helped the team out massively and I think they have both been brilliant.”
