The 21-year-old signed a pre-contract in the last summer and has joined up with Malky Thomson’s side ahead of the SWPL re-starting later this month.
Regarded as one of the brightest young prospects in Scottish Women’s Football, Kerr hopes she can continue to develop as a player at Rangers.
Speaking to RangersTV in line with local Coronavirus restrictions at the time of filming, she said: “It is a really exciting time for the club and for women's football with the investment so I am really happy and excited to be here.
“With Rangers Women going full-time I couldn't turn down the opportunity to be full time in Scotland.
“I was at Glasgow City for five years and was at the youth national team for Scotland and made my A squad debut back in March so it is really good learning from all the experienced players and developing my game.
“I am excited to bring it to Rangers and hopefully I can help develop some of the players here and continue to learn from Malky and Kevin.
“I provide a lot of energy to the team, I like to run just as much as Lizzie Arnot and I hope I can provide energy and excitement on the pitch.”
Kerr was involved in two fixtures before the winter break against Motherwell and Glasgow City, and says she has loved being a part of the Gers squad so far.
She added: “The first two weeks were really exciting. It has been really good and I have loved it so far so hopefully it can continue and we can get stronger as we go.
“It is incredible the set-up here and the investment Rangers have put into the women's game is the way forward for women's football.
“Everything they can provide in terms of staff, facilities and also the structure of the sessions is only going to improve me more as a player and improve the club as a whole.
“I know Kirsty and Rachel obviously they came with me and I have played with quite a few of the players already and I know them from playing against them as well so it has been really really easy coming in and they are all so welcoming.
“It is a really strong squad, everyone wants to be here and want to be a professional player. The competition is high and that is only going to make us better as a team.”
