The Light Blues will be looking to continue their unbeaten run in the league as they host the Edinburgh side at Rangers Training Centre.
Hay is expecting a similar test to Wednesday evening’s 2-0 victory over Aberdeen against a well-organised Hearts side.
Speaking to RangersTV ahead of the game, she said: “On Sunday we may face the same challenges, Hearts are a well organised team and they are young and energetic.
“I think they will be well-structured and we will need to be patient and believe that we are going to find a breakthrough goal. The most important thing is we aim for the three points again and just continue our league run.
“As long as we stay focussed on our own game we know what we are capable of. If we continue to play and do the things that are working well then the breakthrough is always going to come for us and to have that mentality to believe that is something we have really grown into as a squad. This season we have found ourselves in the situation a couple of times where we have really needed to grind through and get the result.
The winger says recovery is vital for the players as they prepare for their third league fixture in eight days.
She continued: “The Hearts game is just a few days away, obviously the staff we have got here and the facilities we have at the training centre help us a lot with recovery so it is important that as players we go away and do the right things and make sure that when the game comes on Sunday we are as ready as we can be for it.”
