The winger was on the scoresheet alongside Lizzie Arnot, Kirsty Howat and Kayla McCoy as the Light Blues maintained their 100 per cent start to the league campaign.
Speaking at full-time, Hay said: “I think as a team we played really well today, we moved the ball well and it opened up the spaces and allowed us to work on something different.
“We had a new player in today, Maddie [Nolf], I thought that we utilised the space well in this game and the goals came from patience.
“That is the most important thing against some of the teams is we just be patient and know the goal will come.
“It is good to get the two goals early in the second-half, I think it settles the play a little bit and then gives us the confidence to keep going and doing what we can do in the game.
“I am delighted to get on the scoresheet, it is something that doesn't happen very often for me so when it comes it is nice and it is just such a great feeling.”
Hay feels the strength and depth of the squad will be important moving forward this campaign. She continued: “It is massive this season, as we know there are cups and we have Champions League, so having a strong squad is important. No matter who is starting or coming off the bench I don't think it makes much of a difference in the game I think that our team stays really strong.”
Looking ahead to Wednesday’s UEFA Women’s Champions League second-leg against Benfica, Hay added: “It's a massive game and I think that we have got lots of positives we can take from the game last week at Ibrox but we know there are bits of the game we really want to improve on to maximise our chances of going through.
“We will touch on that whilst we are analysing it and see what we can improve on and what worked well for us and keep working on the good things, we are looking to improve always”
