The defender insists the experience of the squad has been key in the lead up to the game as they remain focused on the match in Airdrie. It’s the second time the sides have met this season, with a goalless draw at Broadwood back in November.
Speaking to the media ahead of the match, Hill was asked about her role as captain heading into the game. She said: “I haven't really changed how I have been this week, I don't think I have had to. We have got confidence in our squad, and I think we have got plenty of experienced players and leaders in the team as well so it is just about trying to keep things the same as every other game.
“I am sure on the night if we need to say a few things we will, but I trust every girl in this team and the coaching staff as well that we will be prepared and ready to go.
“I think in these games against Celtic and Glasgow City you do probably have to be a bit more switched on, but we have got such a strong defensive record because we are like that no matter what game or who we are playing. It will just be the same for us tonight and hopefully we can deal with whatever challenges are thrown our way.
“In the bigger games we have not scored a lot of goals and that has been something people have spoken about but everyone that plays and trains every day sees the qualities we have going forward. I am obviously defending against a lot of the girls every single day and they score plenty of goals in training so I think it is just reminding them going into the game how good they are and making sure they are confident going into the game because they should be.
“I think if we can get one goal then the confidence will go up and we will show what we are capable of but as I said I back every attacking player and defensive player in our team and I know the qualities they have got.”
Growing up a Rangers fan, Hill relishes playing in an Old Firm derby but says she has to remain focused on getting the job done on the pitch.
She continued: “I know what these games are all about, I have been to plenty at Ibrox and supported the men and I have played in plenty of Old Firm's my first time round so I know what is required.
“I know what it means to play for this football club especially in these games but at the same time you have got to put the fan side of it to the side and focus on getting the job done and remaining calm as well.
“Even just training every day and driving through the gates and seeing the Rangers badge it is what you dream about, and these are the games you love going to as a fan and they are just as exciting being a player in as well, but you do have that side where you have got three points and a job to do.”
