Following the disappointment of last weekend’s Scottish Cup exit, the Gers will make the trip in league action as they look to respond to the defeat when they head to the capital.
Speaking to the media in this afternoon’s press conference ahead of Sunday’s game, he said: “We are in this together, there is not one person starting from the board up until the kitman and everything we are all in this together and we are not going to let anyone feel alone.
“It is not a happy place right now and we can't just hide behind curtains.
“It is that way as a man and as a professional football player if you want to perform at this football club you need to accept that and show it as soon as possible that you have learned what you have done wrong and then move forward and try to build and build in terms of going and have success in the near future.
“I think there is a lot of pressure on everyone, we are all in this together, it is not just the manager it is about us as a group to respond to that as quickly as possible.
“When you are in this football business you get those opportunities quite often.
“Our best answer right now is to go out there and win on Sunday.
“Will that change the mood instantly? Probably not but what we can control is to go out there and win games and when you do that then obviously things start to change and you want to build on that.
“We understand what it takes to play for this football club, I have been part of seasons where we had success, seasons where we didn't and I have been part of this in the past as well and it is about how the team reacts.
“That is the most important and that is what at least I am trying to do is send messages to the group and stick to that.”
“We all had opinions and we all want the best for this football club.
“That is what I can guarantee here, afterwards it depends on each and everyone to understand that this football club is different to most other football clubs out there.
“You need constant progression on a daily basis.
“I can sit here and talk and say all this stuff but that doesn't really matter as soon as you step on the pitch.
“It is all about what is on the pitch and that is what we have to do.”
The Romanian international says it is up to the team to stand up in the situation they find themselves in, insisting they still have plenty to play for this season.
He added: “There is still plenty of football to play, obviously in the league mathematically nothing is over and personally as long as mathematically I have a chance I am still going to go full in no matter what and hope.
“Then we have Europe, which we have had success in until now.
“In recent years and also this season as well the team played really well in Europe so those games are going to be big for us and then just in general as a player when you represent this football club no matter the games, friendly games or as people say you have nothing to play for or whatever you still have to pull on the shirt and represent the club in the best way possible.
“It takes good character and everybody whenever you sign a deal with Rangers you owe that to the fans.
“There is not any type of excuse not to go full out whenever training or a game comes.”
“We have gone through probably everything that you would expect in terms of meetings, personal meetings, discussions with the staff, the players, everything.
“It was a moment to take a step back and reflect on the situation, be true to yourself and understand that it is an unacceptable situation.
“This club constantly moves forward; you can't just stay back and reflect on what happened.
“Yes you have to learn from that, you have to learn from defeat and as a group it is really important to stick together and it is important to learn as much as possible and go out there and show it.”
