In her 10th cap for New Zealand, Vic captained the squad for their friendly match against Japan.
The Ferns were continuing their preparations as they look forward to co-hosting next year’s World Cup alongside Australia. Japan proved too strong for New Zealand as a goal in either half saw them win the match 2-0.
New Zealand will be back home next month as they play another two friendlies in Christchurch against Korea Republic.

There was disappointment for Scotland as their defeat to the Republic of Ireland on Tuesday evening saw them miss out on a spot at the FIFA 2023 Women’s World Cup.
Pedro Martinez Losa’s side beat Austria 1-0 in extra time in their first match, with Nicola Docherty and Sam Kerr both starting the match as the squad took a step forward in their play-off campaign.
However, defeat to the Republic of Ireland at Hampden ended their hopes of a place at next year’s tournament.

Scotland 0-3 Switzerland – UEFA Women’s U19s Championship qualifiers
Kayla, Kirsty, Jodi and Eilidh were involved in Pauline Hamill’s squad as they faced a triple header in the UEFA Women’s U19s Championship qualifying.
It was a difficult three games for the young Scots at Ainslie Park as they began their qualifying round with a 6-0 defeat to Spain, before a 5-0 defeat to Finland a few days later.
The qualifying round came to an end with Switzerland 3-0 winners in the final game of the international break.
