MANAGER
Former Motherwell defender Steven Hammell was appointed permanent manager in August following the departure of Graham Alexander on the eve of the season.
The 40-year-old oversaw a run of three victories from his side’s opening four games of the season, which included a notable 3-2 win over Aberdeen at Pittodrie.
STYLE OF PLAY
Motherwell were renowned for the narrow 4-3-3 formation that was used by former manager Graham Alexander, with Hammell retaining many of the same elements.
The Steelmen have used a 4-2-3-1 formation in recent weeks, with Slattery and former Rangers midfielder Sean Goss patrolling the centre of the pitch and providing the foundations for the team.

Kevin van Veen is a fan’s favourite at Fir Park after joining Motherwell from Scunthorpe United last summer.
The Dutchman netted 11 goals and laid on seven assists last season as the Lanarkshire side secured a top six finish.
He has taken his fine goalscoring form into this season, grabbing ten goals in just 13 appearances in all competitions.
