IVOR PANDUR insists he was only doing his job after his superb save in the 1-0 win over St Mirren.
The Ibrox No1 denied Fraser Taylor in the second half with a point-blank save after the midfielder raced through on goal with the score at 0-0.
Sub Bojan Miovski then popped up with a last-gasp winner to make it four wins from four in the William Hill Scottish Premiership for Derek McInnes’ men.
Croatian international Pandur was delighted to play his part and believes the team showed character to secure the victory.
Speaking to RangersTV, he said: “I was holding my position and making the player make the decision.
“Luckily the ball was close enough for me to make a save, but I think they didn’t have much in the game, maybe just this chance.
“I was happy I was there in the moment and happy with the win.
“As a goalkeeper, you have to be ready. In some games you have more to do, and in others you have less; I do my best to be ready.
“Today it worked out, but it was a team effort to get this win. We showed a winning mentality, and we can be happy.
“They believed until the end, and we are lucky to have them as fans.
“It is important we take this momentum into Sunday against Celtic. It is a game we want to win, and we will give our best.
“It is a derby, and everyone is excited, and hopefully we end up victorious.”
Miovski climbed off the bench and showed excellent composure to chip the ball over on-rushing Saints keeper Jacob Chapman in the final minutes.
Pandur was pleased for his teammate to be the Light Blues’ late hero by scoring his first goal of the season.
He added: “I am really happy for Bojan, and I think when you do good in life, then good comes back.
“We had a good first half, but the second half wasn't as good, and we have to improve some things if we want to be a team fighting for titles.
“We showed togetherness, and we stuck together in tough moments. St Mirren are a good team, but I am happy for Bojan.”
