THE summer transfer window has officially shut as Leanne Crichton’s squad shapes up for the rest of the season ahead.
Seven new recruits were added across a busy few months of change at the club, which has seen them make an impressive start to the new domestic campaign with four wins from their opening four league outings.
Here is our detailed round-up of the incomings in the Rangers ranks for 26/27.
Gry Boe Thrysøe
The Danish midfielder joined the Gers as a free agent and became the first signing of the summer transfer window in July following a successful trial period earlier this year. She went on to complete her college studies over in the United States before making the permanent switch to Glasgow ahead of the new season getting underway.
Starting her career in her homeland with Aalborg Boldklub, she helped them earn promotion to Denmark’s top division back in 2020, as she was named the club’s most valuable player at that time.
She spent the last five years featuring across the Atlantic for college club Old Dominion Lady Monarchs, having her most successful campaign in 2025, where she started in all 18 outings, scoring six times and assisting once.
At 26 years of age, she impressed during her short stint with the club back in January in training and has now bolstered Leanne Crichton’s midfield options ahead of the 26/27 season.
Her competitive debut arrived during the Women’s Champions League second round qualifying matches played on home soil against SK Slavia Praha and Ajax, with the Dane starting both games, as the Gers narrowly fell to defeat in their second outing.
She has since been a regular feature in the Light Blues’ midfield, making substitute appearances in the opening two league outings before starting the side’s last two SPWPL matches.
Bailley Collins
The 23-year-old became another addition to Leanne Crichton’s squad during the 2026 summer transfer window, making the move as a free agent having most recently featured for Motherwell last season.
Joining the fellow SPWPL side from Aberdeen in 2023, the versatile winger helped the K-Park side achieve a first-ever top-six finish in the 24/25 campaign under Paul Brownlie.
A player that her now Head Coach knows well, having previously worked together during her time as an assistant coach at Motherwell, she continues her journey in the Scottish game with her latest switch to Glasgow.
Also a former Scotland youth internationalist, Collins has been previously capped for her country at both Under-17s and 19s level and will now provide competition within the Rangers squad during this season.
She made her competitive debut for the club in the Champions League win over SK Slavia Praha, before her first start followed three days later in the second round qualifying final defeat to Ajax.
A start on the opening day arrived the following week, with Collins enjoying a dream league debut for the Gers as she scored twice in a 4-1 win up at Montrose, before finding the target again a fortnight later with a 3-0 win over Hearts in the capital.
Mijke Roelfsema
The defender joined the Light Blues as a free agent on July 7, having most recently featured for FC Nantes in France’s Ligue 1 during the second half of last season.
Born in the Netherlands, she started in youth football with VV Schoonhoven in her homeland, where she played with the boys' teams, before, in August 2014, she joined ADO Den Haag.
The 28-year-old then moved across the Atlantic in 2017 to attend college in Boston, United States, featuring in college football there before switching to Rice University two years later.
She briefly featured for Calgary Foothills WFC in Canada before making her first steps into the professional game, signing for Apollon Ladies in Cyprus as she made the move back over to Europe.
Spending a season there in 2022, she then made the switch to Danish Women’s League club AaB Fodbold before a stint in the Republic of Ireland with Treaty United.
A move back to Canada with Calgary Wild then came to fruition before her last club, FC Nantes, made the move to bring her to France in January 2026, finishing in fourth place with the club in the nation’s top tier.
On the international front, the centre-back has featured for her nation at two youth levels with both the Netherlands Under-17s and 19s respectively. She featured against Germany in a friendly back in 2015 and played on two occasions for the Under-19s side.
She made her debut for the Gers in a women’s Champions League qualifier against SK Slavia Praha in a 2-1 comeback win at Broadwood, before the team missed out on the play-off round, having narrowly lost out to Ajax in the final.
Having missed the opening day win at Montrose, she came back into contention for the team’s second outing of the campaign, before being named in the starting side for the side’s last two wins over Hearts and Motherwell respectively, helping the team to clean sheets in both.
Hannah Blake
Later that day, Leanne Crichton’s attacking options were strengthened by the addition of Hannah Blake, who joined having left English side Durham earlier this summer.
Born in London, England, she grew up in the birthplace of her parents over in New Zealand, playing with Three Kings United for four years before moving to the United States of America in 2019 to begin her college studies.
She joined the University of Michigan Wolverines in NCAA Division 1, the highest level of US college football, whilst on a soccer scholarship, graduating in 2022, earning a Bachelor of Arts in communications and media together with a minor in business administration. Blake then took her first steps into professional football when joining Australian top-flight side Perth Glory in January 2023.
Netting on her debut for the A-League club against Western United the following month, she spent six months with the Perth-based club before moving to fellow Australian outfit Adelaide United that summer.
She spent a further year there before jetting across the globe to the country of her birth, penning a deal to join Durham in WSL 2 in July 2024.
The winger would go on to feature for the English side for the past two seasons, gaining further experience down south as she made the switch north of the border for the campaign ahead.
A full New Zealand internationalist, she made her debut for the national side at just 17 years of age, having previously featured for the Under-17s side at the FIFA U17 World Cup played in Jordan, before the Under-20s World Cup on two occasions thereafter.
Now having made 17 caps for her nation, after making her first appearance back in 2017, her notable highlight for the Football Ferns was bagging a hat-trick in a World Cup qualifier against the Solomon Islands, a match in which they won 8-0.
Blake made her debut for the Light Blues during Champions League qualifying, starting both matches against SK Slavia Praha and Ajax in midfield as she featured in the European competition for the first time in her career.
She featured in three of the team’s opening four league encounters, opening her account for the Gers with a chipped finish in the 3-0 win over Motherwell at the weekend.
Kirsty Smith
The club announced the signing of Scotland international Kirsty Smith on a two-year deal in early July, making the switch back up to Scottish football having most recently featured for Nottingham Forest last season.
Born in Dalkeith, she started her career in her home nation at Musselburgh Windsor before joining Hibernian to begin her youth career in July 2007. It would be her only spell playing at home until now, as she was part of the side that won back-to-back domestic doubles in 2016 and 2017, respectively.
During her time in the capital, she also claimed three Scottish Women’s Cups, now known as the Sky Sports Cup, in a row, before departing the capital side after 11 years in June 2018.
A fantastic opportunity to move down south then came about with English giants Manchester United, joining alongside former Ger Lizzie Arnot.
She debuted with the side in a League Cup victory over Liverpool, before going on to make 16 appearances for the Red Devils that season, as they claimed the FA Championship title and gained promotion to the Women’s Super League for the first time.
She scored her first goal for the team the following campaign in a League Cup group stage draw with Leicester, spending four years in total with the club before she swapped Manchester for London as a move to West Ham United came about in the summer of 2022.
The full-back would continue to gain impressive WSL experience with the English side in recent seasons, before her latest switch saw her move to England’s second tier with Nottingham Forest last summer, where she spent the last 12 months.
Smith also boasts a vastly impressive international career with Scotland, making over 60 caps to date for the national side.
She first represented her country at both Under-17s and 19s level, before making her senior debut in October 2014 in a World Cup qualifier against the Netherlands.
Continuing to be a regular, she was part of the squad that participated in Scotland’s sole appearance at a World Cup final when they qualified for the 2019 edition played in France, as well as competing in the 2017 European Championships in the Netherlands.
Since then, in recent years she has been part of the Scotland setup, most recently in the squad in 2025.
Having spent the last eight years south of the border, the right-back is now part of Leanne Crichton’s squad for the upcoming season, having shared a dressing room with the Gers Head Coach during their time with Scotland. Making her debut for the club in UWCL outings and has featured regularly in the club’s league outings so far.
Shu Ohba
The goalkeeper became the penultimate signing of the summer window as she joined the Gers as a free agent in July, having most recently featured for Tokyo Verdy Beleza in the top-flight of her home country of Japan.
Born in Fujisawa, Kanagawa, the 24-year-old began playing football at eight, attending Fukushima Prefectural Futaba Future Senior High School before featuring for JFA Academy Fukushima during her youth career.
She started studying in the United States, as she played college football for a year with East Tennessee State Buccaneers, featuring for the team on 16 occasions overall. Her performances earned her the Southern Conference Freshman of the Year honours, as well as a spot on the All-Conference first-team.
During that year, Ohba was named Southern Conference Women's Soccer Player of the Year, once again making the All-Conference first-team squad before transferring to the University of Mississippi, playing 15 times for Ole Miss Rebels.
Her professional football career then began back in her home country of Japan in 2025, as she signed for Tokyo Verdy Beleza on September 5.
They feature in the top-flight over in Asia, and most recently came third in the WE League table last season.
A full Japanese international, Ohba first represented her nation at Under-16s level and was part of their third-place finish at the 2017 AFC Women’s Championship, which subsequently led to her playing in the FIFA Under-17s World Cup, for which she made the final squad.
She then featured for her country at further youth levels, at the 2019 AFC Under-19s Women’s Championships, which they would go on to win and in the 2022 FIFA Under-20s World Cup. Starting all four of their matches in a second-placed finish.
Her first call-up for the senior national team was during the 2022 Asian Games and also further down the line at the 2024 SheBelieves Cup held in the USA. Ohba then earned her first minutes for Japan in a friendly outing against New Zealand in May 2024 and was also named an alternate for the Olympic Games two years ago.
She made the move over to Scotland and strengthened Leanne Crichton’s goalkeeping department ahead of the competitive action returning, taking the number 18 jersey. Having been named on the bench for the two European outings so far and first SPWPL clash, she has featured between the posts for the last three league matches, helping the team to maximum points and clean sheets in the process.
After a steady start to life in Glasgow, she has now flown over to her home country to take part in the Asian Games and will be back involved in the Rangers’ ranks upon her return, with the competition ending on October 4, should Japan progress all the way through the tournament to the final.
Eva Hendle
Rangers confirmed the signing of Eva Hendle on a season-long loan deal from Chelsea in July 2026, becoming the seventh and final addition of the summer transfer window.
A product of the London-based club’s youth academy having joined in 2021, Hendle made the move to the Blues at Under-14s level and has been an ever-present player during her time with her respective age groups since.
She has been a prolific goalscorer for the youth sides, recording 22 goals in 19 appearances across the past two campaigns.
In the most recent season, the youngster featured for Chelsea’s Under-21s side, as she gained experience in youth football throughout.
Hendle made her competitive debut for the club off the bench in the Champions League qualifying win over SK Slavia Praha as the Gers came from behind to win 2- 1 in extra time, although she received an unfortunate second yellow card in the outing.
She made her return to the squad on the opening day of the SPWPL season, coming off the bench to score her first Rangers goal in the 4-1 win over Montrose.
After a bright start to life in Glasgow, she has now joined up with her national team at youth level, taking part in the Women’s Under-20s World Cup over in Poland alongside club teammate May Cruft for England, with the nation targeting a strong run in the tournament that concludes on Sunday, September 27.
