The midfielder says he was always set on staying at Ibrox following initial discussions with manager Michael Beale and can now focus over the off-season in preparation for an exciting 2023/24 campaign.
Speaking exclusively to RangersTV earlier today, Jack said: “I love playing for the club and I love being here. I am settled, my family are settled here and when I initially spoke to the manager and he was saying he wanted me to stay on, for me it was a no-brainer.
"It has got to be right for the club, it has got to be right for the manager, and I think it has got to be right for the player and players’ family. There are a lot of things that come into it but as I say I was happy and settled where I am. It is an unbelievable club to play for and when the manager said he wanted to keep me it was something obviously I was delighted about and I am glad it's done."
The new deal takes Jack into his seventh year at the club, and he says he is excited to be a part of next season. Looking back on his Rangers journey so far, he said: “There have obviously been a lot of ups and a lot of downs. There has been a lot of change from when I first came with Pedro Caixinha and the change from that year to now has been mental really.
"It has been some journey, there have been trophies in there, and special moments like getting back into European football group stages and back into the Champions League.
"You never get too high with highs and never too low with the lows, but it goes without saying that this season has not gone as planned so for me I am delighted that I am going to get the chance next year to go and try and make it a better one. I know the players in that changing room are the same, they all want to go and put that right next season."
Jack, who worked under Michael Beale while he was a coach at the club, says it has been a smooth transition since he returned as manager in November.
He added: "For me it has been easy, the manager when he was here as a coach took a lot of the training, the sessions and he had a big input on the style and how we played - having him back again was like a breath of fresh air.
"The style of football he likes to play suits the squad we have and hopefully going forward we are going to make additions but next year I think we can be optimistic. Having a good pre-season under our belt will really help us and hopefully next season we can hit the ground running and see what we can achieve.
"There's going to be a bit of change but for players you just focus on yourself over the off season, you work hard, and you look forward to coming back pre-season.
"Whoever comes in we will welcome them into the squad and into the club and that is our job. As players and staff to make sure when people come in we make them welcome, settle them well and next year it has got to be straight away as the big games will be coming thick and fast and for us as players that is what we want."
