The Gers produced a performance brimming with energy and quality against a Spurs side whose equaliser through substitute Dejan Kulusevski with a quarter of an hour to play came against the run of play.
Hamza Igamane was on the scoresheet once again for the Light Blues, while there was a standout performance in midfield from Nicolas Raskin.
Speaking to RangersTV after the match, the Gers goalkeeper commented: “I thought it was top.
“The feeling in there at the minute is a really positive one, but also what could have been.
“I’m proud of everyone and it was a top, top performance and really we deserved to win the game as well.
“There have been periods of the season where we haven’t done that, but we’re really working hard to make sure we put performances like that on a regular basis.
“That’s been a result of all the hard work that we’ve been putting in and trying to improve. The lads were fantastic today.”
The Gers were roared on by a buoyant Ibrox crowd who were electric from start to finish.
And the players responded with an impressive display to set the team up nicely for Sunday’s Premier Sports Cup final showdown.
He added: “I enjoyed watching the boys play, defend, work and show their quality just as much as the fans did.
“Everyone who has texted or spoke to me already has said we deserved to win and the performance was fantastic, and it really was.
“We need to build on that and use the confidence from tonight.
“All that matters now is the trophy that we won last year. We want it back and to keep it.
“For us, we need to rest and recover, enjoy tonight, and get back to it tomorrow and get ready for Sunday.”
