Following their return from the international break, the squad will jump straight back into league action in the Capital tomorrow afternoon as they’ll look to take an important three points to put them top of the table.
Speaking to the press ahead of their match against Robbie Neilson’s side, Jack said: "There are always aims and goals and we always try to look forward. I think Saturday will be a very tough match for us, Tynecastle is always a tough one and there is always a good crowd.
"We’re expecting a tough game, but we know that if we win, we go to the top of the league – there is still a long way to go and it’s still early days in the season.
"Nothing is going to be won in the next four weeks, so it’s important that we just put a good run together and focus on each game as it comes, if we do that then it’ll take us to where we want to be.
"It’s always important that you reflect and look at reasons why performances might not have been great and take that onto the training pitch to improve, that’s all we’ve done. We’ve had a short break there with the international break, but the boys have still been training here whilst players have been away with their country, we’re all back together now and full focus is on the weekend."
The Light Blue went on to discuss his fellow teammate, John Souttar’s recovery and emphasised that the defender continues to showcase great character to bounce back from his injury.
He added: "He’s in good spirits and I think as a player who’s been there myself, I think he’s had a bit of bad luck at the minute but all you can really say is to keep your head up and get through your rehab.
"John has got a great mentality and he’s bounced back from big injuries before. I’m sure that he will do that again, in pre-season he was flying and looked very good, he’ll just focus on his rehab so that when he comes back, he’ll hit the ground running."
