Jack Thomson & Rhys Breen Join Orange County SC On Loan

RANGERS’ innovative partnership with Orange County SC continues, with Jack Thomson and Rhys Breen making the loan move to California.

Both 21, Thomson and Breen have had time on loan at Clyde and Queen of the South respectively this season, with the duo now continuing their football journey in the competitive USL Championship.

They follow in the footsteps of Cammy Palmer and Danny Finlayson who spent time with OC last season, and they will now have the fantastic opportunity of learning a brand-new football culture in a fantastic environment.

Rangers’ Head of Academy, Craig Mulholland, commented: “Our partnership with OC has many pillars and the ability to place players on loan to experience a style of play similar to our own, some excellent crowds and stadiums, big TV audiences and really competitive football in a league with Premiership level players, including a number of internationals, is a key benefit of the relationship.

“Rhys and Jack, following successful loans in the SPFL Championship and League One, are not there simply to enhance their own development, which they undoubtedly will with a series of new challenges, but to contribute to a winning Orange County team, who have high ambitions for a very successful USL season.

“The lads will be expected to make a big impact and will be closely monitored and supported our own staff and by Oliver, Braeden and all of the existing excellent staff at OCSC.”
