The striker returned to the pitch for the first time in 508 days as recovering from a knee injury as she marked it with a goal in the 5-0 win over Motherwell in the SWPL.
Speaking to RangersTV after the match the forward described how it felt to be back and also find herself on the scoresheet once again.
She said: “It is amazing, first and foremost to have been in the matchday squad but to also have the opportunity to come on again, it was amazing.
“It has definitely been a long rehab. Definitely challenging in parts but I think being able to get back on the pitch today and to play with the girls again it is fantastic.
“Just to get back on the pitch again was amazing, to obviously top that with a goal, it feels good.”
The 34-year-old has spoken of the performance of the side overall and hailed the support she received from her teammates through her long recovery period.
She continued: “I thought we got off to a really quick start. Got a few early goals which settled us. Obviously we went on to score a few more in the second half so it was great to get the three points and to stay top of the table.
“They have all been so supportive throughout my whole rehab. They have been there for me and cheered me along every step of the way, so it was great obviously to be back involved with them again.”
The Gers are in action for the final time in 2023 next Sunday as they host Hamilton and Ross is hopeful of further involvement as she targets a return to full fitness.
She added: “Hopefully I can continue to be involved in the matchday squads and can continue to build on today’s performance.”
