The young centre-back joins Leanne Crichton’s side from English Super League club Brighton on a deal until the end of the season, as she strengthens her backline further ahead of the rest of the campaign.
Speaking to RangersTV in her first exclusive interview with the club, she commented: “Rangers are a massive club who have big ambitions so I am really excited to get started and going.
“How did talks go with Leanne? Just how she sees me fitting into the team. They have seen me or heard of my stats at Brighton and she can see how I can fit into the team.
“The principles Brighton also want to play attractive football the same as Rangers here so it is a really nice crossover.”
The 18-year-old gave an insight into her career so far, spending her youth days among the youth ranks at the Albion whilst also getting to represent her country at various age groups.
She continued: “Brighton has been amazing so far. I joined at Under-16s so this is my fourth season with them.
“I signed my first professional contract in April, but they have been amazing with my development as a player so far.
“Pro deal? It was a great day; it was on my 18th birthday. I got to sign it front of my family and with them so it was a really special day.
“I have lived away from home pretty much since I was 16 anyway down in Brighton.
“I am used to living away from home but obviously it is a lot further away, but just making sure that I am keeping in contact with family makes it a lot easier.
“I have played for the Under-16s, 17s and 19s at England international level.
“I think this move to Rangers will definitely help with my development and help me get in that England squad.
Pegram has revealed she has spoken to one of her former teammates about life in Glasgow, as she hopes to be part of the squad for this weekend’s Old Firm derby at New Douglas Park.
She added: “I haven't actually spoken to Rach [McLauchlan] yet but I definitely will in the coming days.
“It is a big game this weekend. The facilities here are amazing, I have met lots of people already so I am really excited to get started.”
