The Light Blues battled to a second success in three days with Jane Ross the difference maker as her strike sent them on their way to a 1-0 victory against Hearts in the SWPL.
Speaking to RangersTV after the match the head coach praised the forward for coming up with the moment that settled the contest.
She said: “That is the biggest thing for us, a three game week is never easy.
“We know Sunday is not going to be easy again but thankfully we have got another extra day that we can rest and recover and take the well-earned recharge.
“Get back in and put right what we didn’t do great tonight and we look forward as we always do and look to improve.
“It is something that you rely on, they are the big moments and big players step up in those moments. We have had different players do that throughout the season already.
“It is her time today and she has done it and that is why we have a squad and that is why we have got some of the players in this team and this squad for that reason.
“They show up when it is time and she definitely did that for us tonight.”
The former Lioness says there was a sense of relief with the result but praised the team for yet another clean sheet as they racked up a 14th of the season.
She continued: “The main overriding emotion is that it is three points and we are down the road with three-game week coming up.
“It is relief that they haven’t nicked a draw or something like that, I can’t remember any moments that they created that caused us many problems anyway. I think if there was any worry it came from us and we created a little bit of panic and chaos ourselves.
“We are not looking at it and going there is many moments where Jenna had to make a lot of saves.
“I can’t remember her making a save in all honesty, but again I can’t remember their keeper making too many saves either which is very unlike us, but you are looking for quality players in those big moments and that’s what Jane is there for to stick the ball in the back of the net and get us three points.
“I think we should have been a little more patient throughout the game. I think we fed into their aggressiveness which created a little bit of panic and chaos, we should be rubbing our hands when teams want to go player for player press against us and thinking ok come on lets puff out our chests and take the battle.
“There are the moments that I am looking for, it doesn’t matter what our opponents does, if they want to go player to player we’ll beat you one v one, all over the park and I thought that is where we could have done a little bit better today and then when we are in possession just taking control a little bit more.
“We can do it; we show week in week out that we can keep possession for fun and break teams down and wear teams down.
“I think we could have been a little bit more patient in possession, a little bit calmer but we have got three points in a not so great performance and a clean sheet so it is a big week for us already.”
