The Light Blues boss will lead her side into tomorrow’s showpiece event with Partick Thistle at Tynecastle.
The former England international - who finished third with her country at the 2015 World Cup - wants the squad to saviour the occasion which will give them memories to last a lifetime.
Speaking to RangersTV, she said: “We have to enjoy Sunday as you are privileged to play in these types of games.
“Sometimes it doesn’t feel like it if you play in a lot of them, but the further you go in your career you start to saviour them.
“They are precious and when you look back on your career and look at the photos, these are the moments you remember, lifting trophies and playing at big stadiums.
“We have to enjoy the occasion, and to do that, we have to come out winners.
“We work on that and I expect it every day in training and hopefully it shines through.
“These are the moments we want to play for. This is what you put the hard work in for.
“You get through the rounds and you are doing your work. We want to make sure we put on a performance and win a cup.”
Rangers are looking to retain the trophy they won last season and claim the first silverware of the campaign.
Potter - who visited Tynecastle earlier this week - reckons the Gers fans will also have their part to play.
She added: “It was good to be able to look out on the pitch and see how close the steep stands are and that will help the fans engage.
“We are more than looking forward to this.
“Partick are a very different outfit to the other teams in and around us. Everyone has their own strengths and weaknesses.
“I think the pitch and ground will play into our hands and we have to take advantage of that.
“We need to bring our best game and make sure we are on it, but if you can’t get up for a cup final then I don’t know what you will be up for.
“People can see the engagement they have with the players, and they are good with the fans.
“It is so important in the women’s game and that’s something I think we have to hold on to.
“We hope the fans bring it to help us get our hands back on the trophy.”
