The victory at Links Park, earned through a third hat-trick for Katie Wilkinson since arriving at the club, made it 33 goals in the side’s opening four league fixtures.
It means the Gers are setting a relentless pace atop the SWPL table, although Potter is keen to stress that the Light Blues cannot take their eye off the ball for a single second.
Speaking to RangersTV after today’s win, the Gers Head Coach said: “You can’t take your eye off the ball for one moment.
“We need to make sure we’re still pushing and our standards remain high. Our day-to-day work is really important to that, and the players are excellent at giving me everything every single day.
“We need to make sure we’re continuing that into the next few weeks as we have tough games coming up.
“It’s something that we need to keep pushing and striving for.
“It’s never easy and we created a lot of good chances today; the Montrose goalkeeper had a very, very good game and kept the scoreline as it was.
“We’re happier today than what we were on Wednesday, and pleased with a clean sheet and another nine goals.
“I said to them at half-time that we were a little bit flat. We were probably taking too many touches at the bottom end of the pitch and not enough in and around their penalty box.
“I wanted them to keep it sharp a little bit more. We obviously tweaked a little bit at half-time to help us in and around their penalty box, to get a little bit more space.
“I’m happy with how we’re managing to tweak things and kick on again. We got a lot out of today and it’s important we carry that into Dundee United at the weekend.”
The Gers raced out to a three-goal lead at the half-time interval, with Wilkinson putting the finish touches on her hat-trick just minutes into the second period.
The summer arrival from Southampton has been in blistering form in the opening few weeks of her Gers career, netting a hat-trick in each of her three starts this campaign.
And Potter says she is delighted with the early contribution from her forward, as well as the unselfish nature of her attacking cast of players.
She added: “[Wilkinson] is always in those positions to score goals. It’s not easy and I think she could have had another couple too; there was a top corner save from the goalkeeper at the end which looked goalbound.
“The main thing for us is that she’s scoring and getting her confidence up. There’s still more to come from her, believe it or not, as she didn’t have a full pre-season.
“This is her in her infancy, and I’m hoping in another three or four weeks that she’ll be firing more.
“I thought Rio [Hardy's] all-round play was brilliant today and her unselfishness around the penalty box.
“They’re all there to play with each other and you can see that. Those are the relationships that we’re looking for.
“I’m happy with where they’re going and I know there’s more to come.”
