In their first post-split fixture, the Light Blues were rampant in East Kilbride with an early goal setting them on their way as they went on to dominate throughout.
Speaking to RangersTV to reflect on the result, she commented: “It was really pleasing, I thought we started the game really brightly.
“We probably got lucky with the first goal but our movement was there and we forced them into errors and we put the ball in good areas and we just grew in confidence from there.
“I thought we controlled the game for 90 minutes, I wouldn't even say there was a moment where we were out of control of the game and chasing it a little bit.
“I thought we really managed that side of the game really well.
“I thought we took a lot of pressure because they were wanting to get after us and put us under some extreme pressure on player to player.
“It was good for me to see us take that out on top of that challenge, because that is somewhere we have been lacking in previous weeks but we just grew in confidence as the game went on and you could see we were well good for our eight goals today and we were unlucky not to score a few more to be honest.”
The former Lioness highlighted the collective display from her side overall but mentioned the showings of Camille Lafaix and top goalscorer Katie Wilkinson, with the pair scoring five of the eight between them.
She continued: “I think that was the difference at the start of the game as well.
“Getting a goal so early, putting us in front, letting us relax, allowing us to breathe into the game and take a foothold and control it early doors.
“That was the difference for us I thought.
“I was really pleased that she [Lafaix] performed today from the start because she deserved a go and she's played really well again, got a couple of goals.
“I thought all the players played extremely well, I thought Jenna made some very good decisions, she was good with the ball at her feet.
“The backline was excellent in possession as well; didn't concede a goal it is big for us to keep clean sheets and get a good score for us.
“You could see when we play and Ini dropping in and picking up the ball and linking the play is vital for us.
“There was some really nice stuff to watch today.
“Wilkinson? I spoke to her at half time and said come on it'll come she was getting a little bit frustrated because it was obviously 4-0 at half time and she wasn't on the scoresheet and that often sounds a little bit strange, but her goal involvements are always high.
“She is always in and around it if it not a direct assist she has always got the assist of the assist.
“She has a huge impact on how we play when we are in the final third and playing forward so I said not to worry she warmed up really well, she has looked clean and sharp in training this week, we always knew it would be a matter of time.
“You are probably not used to seeing her score some close range goals like that, she is normally scoring some screamers but she will take everything she has got and she was good for her goals today as well.”
The Gers now have a third Sky Sports Cup final in a row to look forward too with the head coach feeling they are well prepared for the test of facing Hibs when they lineup at Fir Park next Saturday afternoon.
She added: “I just said that to the players I said it was a really good test for us leading into that game.
“You have got to be careful not to look too far ahead because I think the result today just shows that we didn't.
“We were fully focused on this tie today and we know how important these split fixtures are, there is not going to be an easy game.
“We have been in cup finals before so it is good for us to have that in the back of our head and not look too far ahead.
“It was a good prep for us today, there was certain things that I wanted to see that we could build into next week's game as well as playing today's game and trying to get a little bit of both out of it.
“It was a really good test for us and hopefully it has gave us a lot of confidence and we scored some really good goals, keeping a clean sheet it should put us in a really good position going into next week's game.”
