The Gers were dominant throughout as they overcame Queen’s Park 14-0 in SWPL action as they responded to back-to-back league defeats heading into the new year with a win.
Speaking to RangersTV to look back on the match, she commented: “I am really pleased; I thought you could see the definite improvement in our performance.
“It looked more like a Rangers performance from our perspective, what we have been used too.
“It was really pleasing to see; it is always nice to score plenty of goals and get the confidence back up because it was exactly what we needed.
“You saw that we took some goals really well, there was some lovely stuff out there and again we need to make sure that we are kicking on and going again this week because we have got another tough one next week.
“Having control? That was important for me, I don't think they had a corner or a set-piece so that was important for us.
“We analyse a lot and they are not bad on set-pieces, we looked at it during the week so limiting their opportunities and trying to keep them in their half as much as possible was big for us today.
“I was big on that in the first 20 minutes, making sure that our structure was right and not taking our eye off the ball.
“Once we had found our feet with that again I think you could just see the intensity and the level that we can play at.
“We just managed to play our way, play in their half for the majority of the game and score some really good goals.”
The former Lioness has credited her entire squad for all playing their part, with several substitutes contributing to the scoreline after finding the back of the net after coming on.
She continued: “You could see that it was going to be a game for that, to change it up with the different personnel that we have got coming on.
“When you have got the league's top goalscorer sat on the bench she is always going to come on and want to score some goals.
“I thought we made a good account of ourselves first half but you could see that we really kicked on again in the second half and pushed on.
“The subs didn't allow us to drop in tempo or change the way that we played.
“We still played with the same amount of intention and intensity and going forward there was some really good stuff today so I am really pleased.”
The head coach is hopeful her side will be able to build on the confidence gained from today’s display for what’s to come, as they now turn their focus to the Sky Sports Cup semi-final next weekend.
She added: “It is really tough; we speak about this all the time you can win 14-0 one week then you are playing against your rivals the next week and it is so hard to be able to lift your game from one game to the other.
“We have got to make sure we do that, we have done it really well in previous years, we have got to make sure that we remember that.
“We have still got things that we need to tweak and we still need to get better at.
“That is what we have got a good week of training for now but that has put us in a really good position.
“I think before the game if you had asked me that is exactly what you would have wanted.
“I think it is important for us today that we have got that result and we have got many goalscorers on the sheet and scored some good goals as well.
“It puts us in a really good position, it is just down to us down now to make sure that the week is good going into next Sunday.”
