Katie Wilkinson added yet another hat-trick to her incredible repertoire of goals in Gers colours, while there were braces for Rio Hardy and Liv McLoughlin alongside strikes from Kirsty Howat, Laura Berry and a Megan Sidey own goal.
Speaking to RangersTV after the triumph, Potter reflected: “It’s not only the scoreline, but the performance [was pleasing] too.
“We have been deserving of that for a while now. The difference is that we started excellently and I challenged the players to do that today.
“We’ve not done that in the last two games. They didn’t need much from me today; they solved a lot of problems themselves. It was really pleasing for us to see.
“I said to the players at half-time that you give yourself a bit of breathing space when you play the way that they did.
“It gives you the chance to take a few more risks which ultimately means you can play a little bit higher up the pitch and gain more confidence.
“You could see today that we were excellent in our movement off the ball, alongside our energy and quality.
“It was a pleasure to watch them play in that way and it must have been nice for them to play in as well.”
There were several standout performances from a Rangers perspective as all three forwards were on the scoresheet in a rampant first-half performance.
Potter was also boosted by quality on her substitutes bench as Liv McLoughlin joined the action in the second half and grabbed a brace to her own name.
Laura Berry, meanwhile, marked her recall from her loan spell at Motherwell with the 10th goal of the afternoon.
Potter added: “[The forwards] linked up excellently.
“I thought we were dominant in wide areas and the middle of the park, and it was exactly what I asked of them before the game.
“A clean sheet is big for us again. We have saw in previous years that it could have been 10-1 and that one conceded used to grind on us.
“It’s something that we’ve worked really hard on and you could see that they didn’t really threat us despite being a team who do really threaten at the other end of the pitch.
“I think our performance before the substitutes came on allowed us to get there. You don’t often see Liv getting forward too much, but what we done previously in the game earned the right for her to get forward and allowed her the space to get that high on the pitch.
“All the players who came on had a really good impact. Sometimes when you make that many subs it can become a little bit disjointed, but I thought it worked really well just to keep it ticking over and keep our momentum swinging forwards.
“You could see that in the second half when we scored six excellent goals.”
