The Light Blues were back on league duties for the first time since before the international break on September 17 as they marked it in impressive style with a dominant display throughout.
Speaking to RangersTV after the match the head coach was happy with her side in the second 45 minutes and once again praised the controlled nature of the performance.
She said: “It was good, it took us a while to grow into the game. We knew that Hamilton were going to frustrate us, in the shape that they sat in it was a bit of a low block. We knew it was going to be a tough game, we knew we had to up our intensity levels and our ball speed. We got there in the end and it was a much better performance second half.”
“We are just getting better at that and it is something that we have got to make sure we are improving on week in week out, our control in the second half of games is excellent.
"We need to bring that a little bit more in the first half but we always know that is going to be a lot more difficult with the opposition we are playing against.
"The opposition aren’t just going to give us moments in the game to control it all the time, but it is just managing those moments and I think for the majority we are really controlling games now and it is really pleasing to see.”
Potter emphaised the importance of her team keeping a clean sheet as well as heaping praise on the goals that they did score on an impressive afternoon’s work at New Douglas Park.
She continued: “That is vital for us week in week out, that is what we pride ourselves on, is that our defensive structure and being able to hold teams off and keeping them at bay. We are just getting stronger week in week out at that.
"There is always going to be moments for the opposition when they are going to cause you problems but it is limiting those moments, I am really happy with the clean sheet.”
“We are spreading the goals around the team, their keeper has had an excellent game today, I think she made some really good saves.
"That is the thing if you are not scoring you are making the keeper make saves, shots are on target and we are in good positions to have strikes on goal. We scored some excellent goals today and we could have had a few more if it wasn’t for their keeper.”
The boss is now looking ahead to the team’s next league outing in seven days time as they will get the opportunity to play at Ibrox for the first time this season.
She added: “I think it is a really exciting time for the group, we are building really nicely. It is a good time for us to have a game at Ibrox, we just want the fans and the crowd that are there to make sure what we put on a performance for them.
"We have got a tough week on the grass this week to make sure that we are preparing properly for Hibs, because we know it is going to be a tough test but we are really looking forward to it.”
