The Light Blues are back in pre-season as they ramp up preparations ahead of the new campaign after winning a domestic cup double in the head coach’s first season in charge.
Speaking to RangersTV as she looks ahead to the start of 2024/25, she commented: “We have always got to aim for the best, we have got to aim to win everything, that is what we do at this club.
“We are realistic with it along the way, we know it is not easy and it is not going to be and each opponent brings their challenges and what they can offer against us and we do respect that.
“We respect every single team that we are playing against.
“As you saw last year it wasn't necessarily our head-to-heads with our two main rivals, it was probably elsewhere where we slipped up slightly, so we will definitely learn from it.
“We have just got to make sure that we put it right when it comes around.
“As well as doing that you have got to maintain your head-to-heads with your rivals as well as beating the rest. It is not going to be easy; we have got to make sure that we are doing our work.
“I can see it in the players, I can see it in the staff.
“Everybody was really excited to get back in on the first day and everyone has been working really hard so it is going to be exciting to see what we can achieve this year.”
The former Lioness has spoken of the time in the lead up to the start of the new season and feels it will be beneficial in integrating her new signings into the squad.
She continued: “It is so important; they players will fit in great though because we have got a great bunch of girls.
“They have welcomed them in with open arms and you can see that just straight away.
“One of the first things that the players say is everyone is so welcoming, everyone is so nice and we know that and that is something that we do speak about when we are recruiting players.
“We have got a great group of girls that you'll fit in straight away well with.
“You have not really got to fight to get in, there is no real cliques along the way.
“It is rare, it is rare you see that in team sports but I really want the players to keep that.
“We have got a healthy environment and we need to make sure we maintain that and I have no doubt we will.
“It will put us in a really good place going into the start of the season and throughout the rest of pre-season.”
The Light Blues currently have several players away representing their country on international duty, but Potters feels they were prepared for the break at this stage of the season as they count down to the league opener on August 11.
She added: “We planned ahead anyway; we knew what this time would like with internationals away.
“We have really done our work over the off-season and towards the end of last season really we started to make sure we were planning for this time.
“We knew what it would look like, it didn't come as a surprise so we have planned for it.
“The players have come back in great shape, that puts the national team in a good position going into these qualifiers.
“I think we have got to look at it and go we are healthy now, where can we be and what can we achieve.
“We will always need to keep looking to strive and be better and when we hit that target we'll move on again and try and be better again.
“We want to definitely make sure that we are hitting the ground running come that first game of the season at Aberdeen away.”
