The Academy graduate came off the bench in last weekend’s triumph away to Montrose before being given the nod by Leanne Crichton from the off to play the opening 45 minutes today.
She was forced to watch agonisingly from the sidelines during the team's UEFA Champions League qualification campaign earlier this month but hopes she has returned at exactly the right moment.
Speaking to RangersTV, McLeary commented: “It’s really good to be back on the pitch with the girls.
“It’s been a difficult pre-season for myself and towards the tail end of last season, but I’ve worked hard and it’s been a thanks to the medical staff who have got me back onto the pitch.
“Our physio, Stuart Phin, has just left and I owe him a lot for what he done for me.
“It was really difficult over the pre-season break for myself, but the support from him and the club was great.
“It’s great to be back on the pitch and I want to stay there as long as possible.
“It’s now about building into another week of training after playing 45 minutes today, and hopefully that’s me on the up and long may it continue.”
Rangers have scored 11 times in their opening two league fixtures and make the trip to the capital next weekend to square off against Hearts.
The summer recruits have certainly hit the ground running, with goalkeeper Shu Obha making her first start this afternoon, and McLeary says it’s now all about creating relationships.
She added: “Champions League qualifying? It was so good to be involved in [as a team].
“On a personal level, it was disappointing to miss out on it.
“It’s a different role on the sidelines, but the girls put in some shift over the two games and now we have a Europa Cup campaign to look forward to.
“The new signings have been great and we’re looking really strong. It’s now about the connections and how we put it together on the pitch.
“You can see we’re putting it together in moments, but there are still moments we need to improve.
“But to come away after winning 7-0 and want more, it’s a credit to the group.”
