RANGERS Academy can today announce that forward Josh Gentles has signed a contract extension until June 2027, with an option for a further year.
Gentles, 18, is currently on loan at Alloa Athletic through the club’s loan co-operation agreement with the League One side, where he has registered four goal contributions in just five appearances.
He also featured for the first-team in pre-season friendly matches against Club Brugge and Middlesbrough, while the youngster has represented Wales at Under-19s level this season.
Speaking after signing his contract extension, Gentles said: “I’m really excited. Rangers have been part of my life since a young age and I’ve thoroughly enjoyed my journey through the Academy.
“It was an excellent experience being part of the first-team squad throughout pre-season and it was a dream come true to run out at Ibrox in Rangers colours.
“I know there’s still a lot of hard work ahead of me, but I’m ready to give everything to keep developing and make the most of this opportunity.”
