The midfielder rounded off an impressive team move at the start of the second half finding space inside the area after Alfredo Morelos’ flick and finished well to give the Gers breathing space on the day.
Speaking to RangersTV after the victory the midfielder was happy to get on the scoresheet and contribute to another three points for the Light Blues. He said: “Goals are definitely something I want to add to my game, I don’t score too many goals myself, but I am happy with it.
“To be honest it probably wasn’t a great performance from us but sometimes you have just got to come through and we are just happy with the three points.”
The 27-year-old was happy with the timing of Rangers second goal which made the afternoon more comfortable with the away side down to 10 men and was happy the side carried on the momentum to make it five wins in a row.
He continued: “The timing of it was crucial, it is always tricky when the opposition go down to 10 men and we were not playing as well as we can with the man advantage.
“I am happy that we scored at the time we did and happy with the victory.
“We haven’t lost a game for a while now and hopefully we can carry that on.”
The Finnish international was happy to back playing in front of their home supporters for the first time since January 2nd as Rangers now get ready for their next test away to Hearts in midweek.
He said: “It was good to be back at home, we probably didn’t put on a performance for the fans, but we are delighted with the win.
“We are looking to take that confidence into midweek, it will be a hard game against Hearts away and we are all looking forward to it.”
