RANGERS can today confirm Kathryn Hill has been named captain ahead of the 2022/23 Scottish Women’s Premier League season.
The defender returned to the club this summer after spells in America and in the FA Women’s Championship with Durham.
On the captaincy, Hill said: “I am very proud to be able to captain this team and this club, we have a great group of players here and it has been easy to settle back in over pre-season.
“The squad is full of experienced players and we know we have to lead by example both on and off the pitch.
"All the girls have been working hard to make sure we are ready for the start of the season and I am looking forward to kicking-off the campaign on Sunday.”
Head coach Malky Thomson added: “Since returning to the club in the summer, Kathryn has had a big impact and has very quickly built strong relationships with her teammates and the staff.
“She gives everything for the club and with the support of a number of experienced players in the squad we have a strong leadership group for the season ahead.”
