The defender had been absent from the Gers squad since their SWPL Old Firm victory at the end of October before being named in the side for the win over Inverness in the Scottish Cup last weekend.
Speaking to RangersTV ahead of the Light Blues’ resuming their league campaign against Dundee United later this afternoon, the centre-back admits it was a frustrating time on the sidelines as she looks to build her way back to full fitness.
She said: “There is never a really good timing for injuries. It always seems to happen when you are kind of flying and feel that you are doing well.
“When I got injured Jo said to me it is a long season. It was just important that I done the rehab right and got back.
“We have got such a strong squad so the good thing is if someone who is a regular in the team drops out with an injury then we have got players now that can come in and do the exact same job. That is important and is what we need to win trophies at the end of the day.
“It was a frustrating time to get injured after getting called up and going away with the Scotland squad, then obviously missing a couple of months right before Christmas.
“It was a disappointing time but I have worked hard and I always knew coming back after Christmas that I'd be back on the pitch and it was just so good to be back out there.”
Hill has spoken of today’s opposition and says they must be wary of the threats they pose after their quick start in the reverse fixture in September.
She continued: “That felt like a while ago now and I think even from a week to week you just notice how much the team has come on.
“It will probably be different and we are at home, it is a bigger and wider pitch which suits us. We will just hopefully get off to a good start and it will be good to see the fans again as well
“I think they will try and frustrate us. They obviously got off to a very quick start against us last time, so that is something that we need to make sure doesn't happen this time.
“We will look at their threats and where we can hurt them and we just need to focus on our game and however they set up and just keep working on the things that we know we are good at.”
The 29-year-old has challenged the team to build on the position they find themselves at the half way stage as they target a positive second half of the campaign.
She added: “It has been good so far, but the key thing is so far. We need to make sure that we continue this now, we know what we want to get at the end of this year.
“If we want to achieve what we want to achieve then we need to keep the standards and keep driving them every week and get better.
“The main thing is all the girls and staff are on the same page. Everyone wants the same thing within the squad I think we have got enough players who drive those standards but also Jo is constantly on at us, if things aren't good enough we definitely know.
“It is having that good mixture within the squad and from the staff. At the end of the day everything we are doing is hopefully to achieve what we want to."
