He’s been a real thorn in the side of so many teams already this campaign both at home and abroad, and he’s desperate to take his good form into tomorrow’s first Old Firm game of the season at Parkhead.
Speaking at today’s press conference, Kent explained: “I think in terms of my output in the game with numbers and things, it's the best position I have been in since I have been at Rangers with the start to the season I have had.
"Even if I'm not having a good game, I always feel confident - that's just the way I have to be and the way I approach the game.
"If I am not confident, then I'm not going to affect the game - I might lose the ball five or six times on the bounce, but there might be one occasion where I do get success in the game, and that is the way I can affect it."
Of course, tomorrow’s game against the other half of the Old Firm will be played behind closed-doors – the first ever one of these derby fixtures to do so.
Kent, however, still expects some aspects to be the same, and continued: "It is going to be different to what it has been before - I think the fans make the fixture and it is one of the biggest derbies in the world because of the fans.
"But regardless of the fans being there or not, I expect the intensity and the aggression in the game to still be there.
"So when you step out onto the pitch in these games, you can feel that buzz and that excitement, you want to go and put on the best performance you can and get the result."
