RYAN KENT was delighted to make a big impact off the bench last night in Rangers’ 1-1 draw with Brondby after recovering from injury.
After missing a number of weeks, Kent provided a superb assist for Ianis Hagi’s leveler in Denmark to keep Gers’ Europa League fate in their own hands.
Kent spoke to RangersTV before the squad returned from Denmark after facing Niels Frederiksen’s side.
He said: “No matter your circumstance, whenever you’re called upon from the bench you have to make an impact and that’s why the gaffer has relied on you to bring you on the pitch.
“We were unfortunate to not come away with a win last night, I thought in the second half we played really well.
The Gers winger continued by reflecting on his recovery period and expressed his excitement to be back on the pitch with the rest of his teammates.
He added: “It’s been a tough period at the start of the season carrying a few niggles so it’s nice to get them ironed out and I’m glad to be back on the pitch.
“I’ve been doing a lot of extensive work in the gym and the training field to prepare me so I can go straight into a game.
“As soon as I’m back in I’m ready to start a game, I always want to be starting on the field. It’s tough watching from the sides especially for nearly two months so I’m raring to go again.
“The international break will good period for me to really get up to speed. It does give me a bit of extended time to work on a few more things and getting up to match speed.”
