Gers are undefeated in their six matches with five wins from six, and Kent is desperate to continue that form after the international break.
He told RangersTV: "We're really happy as we put in a really good performance in the first-half, though we probably could have been a bit more ruthless in the second half, but we will take the three points and we are delighted with the performance overall.
Gers made it a sixth clean sheet from six matches also this season, and Kent continued: "We mentioned it before the game - defending starts with the people up top to help those at the back.
"It goes all the way through the team - the back four have been terrific, but as a collective and as a group, I think we have been solid defensively and that has been proven."
Kent already looks to be building a super partnership with new signing Kemar Roofe up-top, with Kent explaining: "He is great to play with. His link-up play is really nice and it would be good to get more games alongside him to understand his movements more.
Gers will have to wait a fortnight now until their next match when they face Dundee United at Ibrox – though to his minor frustration, Kent would much rather that match was taking place a lot sooner!
He added: "If we could carry on playing now we would do. We will go away and rest with our mindset on the next game.
"As long as we continue doing the right things and we don't slip-up in any areas of our game then I think we will be alright going forward."
