"It wasn't easy and we had to dig deep at times and the boys did a lot of running and we would have liked to come away with a win, but the ultimate goal was to progress through to the next round and I am really happy for that."
Kent’s goal levelled matters on the night 11 minutes after the break to all-but kill the tie. It’s a moment he’s been craving for a while, and he continued: "I am happy to get my goal but I am more happy to get through to the next round.
“This is a stage in the competition where not many of us have played so we can all be very proud of ourselves and we did the fans proud and hopefully everyone goes away with a smile on their face tonight.
"Going into the game this week, the manager had reiterated that the game wasn't done - we saw that in the first tie where they had plenty of opportunities and goals disallowed, so we came here with a game plan and that was to get us through to the next round and we managed to execute that.”
Kent also took time to look ahead to the draw tomorrow, adding: "We have more than held our own in this competition. We are into the quarter-finals, so we are definitely not just here for a day out.
"We have proved ourselves against some of the best teams in Europe this year and we have belief going into the next round that we can do something."
