Our heritage inspired Gallant Pioneers shirt celebrates our Founding Fathers and the incredible dream they had to start a football team which would then go on to become one of the most successful and famous football clubs in the world.
The Gallant Pioneers shirt, complete with commemorative crest and details inspired by our earliest team photograph, has proven incredibly popular with supporters and has already become our best-selling change kit in recent seasons.
As part of our 150th anniversary celebrations this month, we are pleased to confirm that the first team will wear a sponsored edition of this shirt in our SPFL match against Dundee FC on the 20th March which will be broadcast live on Sky Sports in the UK and RangersTV around the world.
On 5th March, we opened our birthday month in style with a fantastic pre-match display, led and organised by the Union Bears, and hugely popular Fan Village. To honour the history and tradition of Rangers wearing royal blue kits at Ibrox we ultimately chose to maintain this custom and reserve the Gallant Pioneers kit for an alternative fixture which also falls within our 150th birthday month.
The Gallant Pioneers shirt is still available to purchase in both a replica fit and a special boxed pro edition which is strictly limited to 1,872 units to commemorate the year Rangers were founded.
On a complimentary basis, all Official Rangers Stores will be able to add official club sponsors to the Gallant Pioneers for any supporter that wishes to own this version of the strip. This includes both previously sold shirts and any new sales.
The club once again wishes to extend its on going gratitude to supporters for their remarkable backing of the clubs retail operations, in partnership with Castore, as we remain on track to break all previous records, during this special 150th anniversary season.
