The Light Blues sealed another win last night after defeating Debbi McCulloch’s side in a 2-0 victory in Cumbernauld, but despite adding to their unbeaten run in the league campaign, the midfielder believes that the team didn’t achieve their best performance.
Speaking exclusively to RangersTV after the squad picked up another win, Kerr said: “It wasn’t our best performance, we know that, but I think in the first half we dominated the game and played well. Towards the end in the second half, we started to become sloppy, and it was really transitional, so we’ll look back on that.
“Spartans are a really organised team and they were hard to breakdown; I think we were just a bit sloppy and slack because we were being impatient with the ball and that led to us making errors and Spartans counterattacking from that.
“We did well in the first half and Chelsea [Cornet] put away a good header, so we were thankful for that, we just kept building from that and then we were able to put another away in the second half, so it put us in a good position.”
Kerr outlined the messaging at the half-time break as the Gers looked to build on from their early advantage and highlighted that the team will analyse their performance as they refocus their attention to Dundee United at the weekend.
She added: “It was just to be patient on the ball to keep doing the things that we were doing, we didn’t want to get tired of moving, we did that in the second half but towards the end of the game we began to lack composure and they would counterattack us.
“We’ll focus on recovery now and look back at this game for full focus against Dundee United on Sunday.”
