Kevin Sinfield CBE Running Home For Christmas Challenge Departing From Ibrox

Kevin Sinfield CBE will begin the fourth leg of his ‘Running Home for Christmas’ challenge at Ibrox Stadium on Wednesday morning as he and his team continue their journey around the country, raising vital funds for several motor-neurone charities.

Kevin’s great friend and fellow former rugby player, Rob Burrow, died in June from the condition, and of a number of years now, he has been embarking on these phenomenal fundraising efforts for MND charities, with MND Scotland among those set to benefit this time.

“7” was the number worn by Rob for Leeds Rhinos, and that has been the inspiration behind this challenge, with Kevin running in seven different cities over seven consecutive days, visiting many different landmarks on the way. Indeed, each day will see him running over 50km as he aims to raise £777,777.

Wednesday’s challenge will depart from Ibrox at 7am – and you can support him on the way! Supporters are encouraged to gather at the famous Blue Gates at the Copland Road end of the stadium, where Kevin will exit the stadium before turning right onto Edmiston Drive.

If you can’t make it along, BBC Breakfast will also be covering his departure from Ibrox live on their show.
