The 18-year-old made his full Champions League debut as he was named in Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s starting line-up against the English Premiership side.
Despite the 2-0 defeat against last season’s finalists, King hopes he can take positives from the exposure to top-level European football.
Speaking to RangersTV at full-time, he said: "For me personally it was an amazing experience getting to play here at Anfield in my full Champions League debut and I thought the lads gave a good account of themselves. Obviously we conceded from two set-pieces but we will build on that and we will go again next week.
"I am still really young but when you have got experienced players around you it makes it a hell of a lot easier and when the coaching staff believe in you and trust you it makes the world of a difference.
"The likes of Connor and Tav at the back, and Lundstram and Davo in the middle, they have all been there, all done it and played these big games. I just need to take away the learning experience from tonight as well as the opportunity."
A Trent Alexander-Arnold free-kick and a penalty from Mo Salah were the difference tonight, but King said Rangers kept battling and caused Liverpool some problems in the latter stages of the game.
He continued: “We gave them something to think about in the last 10/15 minutes so we know that we have got that threat and that we have that pace.
“We will always go forward right until the last minute and that's what we did today and gave them something to think about.“We just need to bounce back from tonight and get a win in the league again on Saturday."
