A late goal from the striker following a Chelsea Cornet header booked their return to the national stadium as the Light Blues continued their hunt for further silverware this campaign.
Speaking to RangersTV after rounding off the scoring at Hampden Park, the forward has praised the team overall after coming off the bench to make her mark.
She said: “It is a full squad effort. It something that we pride our self on.
“We have got basically two starting XI’s at times when everyone is fit.
“Whether you are starting or coming off the bench it is to go out there and put in an impacting performance and we managed to do that today.
“It was massive, it made us just relax into those final few minutes into the end of the game.
“I think it showed our willingness to keep going right to the very end.
“We got our first goal around 85 minutes and our second at 89.
“It showed our fitness, obviously we have been working a lot on that in training.
“Our determination to keep going right to the very end.
“To be able to get that second goal just rounded it off for us.
The 26-year-old has highlighted the persistence the Gers showed to make the breakthrough after being the better of the two sides before patience finally paid off to open the scoring towards the end.
She added: “I think these games are always really tight, they are really close.
“Two very good teams that are well matched up against each other and it comes down to those fine margins.
“It took it us right to the very end and it was a great header from Chelsea and then to score the goal to allow us to see the game out.
Howat feels there is so much more the team can achieve with what remains of the campaign, but full focus now turns to their return to league action against Hearts in midweek.
She added: “It is massive and so exciting. It is big club you are expected to go and win trophies and be in big games, be in cup finals and we managed to do that today.
“We have got a big game come Wednesday and then another game the following Monday.
“It is coming thick and fast but we are all really looking forward to it and to get us into the final is massive."
