KIRSTY HOWAT has been named the Women’s Player of the Month for October, sponsored by Utilita.
The 26-year-old was voted by supporters as the standout performer for the side, after a string of fantastic showings in front of goal in recent matches.
The striker enjoyed a superb month for the Light Blues, which included getting on the scoresheet on four occasions in the Gers’ 7-0 win over Hibs at Ibrox, with Howat scoring her first ever goal in the stadium.
The forward found the back of the net six times overall in four starts, whilst also providing the assist for Kirsty Maclean’s goal to start the comeback in the 2-1 win over Celtic to round off October, as Rangers went top of the table heading into the international break.
