RANGERS have a number of players from both the first-team and the Academy out on loan at present. Here’s our review of how those who featured got on over the last week.

Nikola Katic – Hajduk Split

Niko was a 74th-minute substitute for the Croatian league side as they travelled to Gradski vrt to face Osijek on Sunday in the HNL.

The Light Blue loanee managed to gain a point for his side after keeping a clean sheet in their 0-0 draw.

The team will welcome Sibenik to the Stadion Poljud on Saturday afternoon in their next HNL fixture

James Maxwell - Ayr United

James was named in Lee Bullen’s starting XI on Friday evening as they welcomed Hamilton Academical to Somerset Park in their Championship match.

The Gers loanee played the full 90 minutes of the game, it was a challenging match for the home side after going a goal down in the first half, but the squad managed to find the equaliser in the second half to take a point.

The Honest Men will turn their attention to Saturday afternoon as they welcome Inverness Caledonian Thistle to Somerset Park in their next league campaign fixture.

Lewis Mayo – Partick Thistle

Lewis was again named in Ian McCall’s starting line-up on Saturday afternoon as Thistle welcomed Arbroath to Firhill Stadium in the Championship.

Mayo played the full 90 minutes of the fixture, where Thistle picked up a point after a goalless home draw.

The squad now turn their attention to Friday evening as they travel to Palmerston Park to face Queen of the South in the league campaign.

Juan Alegria – Partick Thistle

Juan was an 86th minute substitute for the Jags on Saturday afternoon as they welcomed Arbroath to Firhill Stadium for their league match.

It was a challenging game for Thistle, but the squad managed to collect a point as the game ended 0-0.

The squad now turn their attention to Friday evening as they travel to Palmerston Park to face Queen of the South in the league campaign.

Stephen Kelly – Salford City

Stephen was again named in Gary Bowyer’s starting line-up on Saturday as they travelled to Victoria Park to face Hartlepool in the English League Two

The Rangers loanee played the full 90 minutes of the game and created some excellent opportunities for the team where they took three points away from home after a great 2-0 win.

The squad will quickly turn their attention to Tuesday evening as they host Port Vale in their next league match.

Kieran Wright - Dumbarton

Kieran was named in Stevie Farrell’s starting XI on Saturday as they travelled to the Recreation Park to face Alloa in their League One match.

It was a challenging game for the Sons in a thrilling five goal match, but Stevie Farrell’s side managed to collect three crucial away points after beating the home side 3-2.

The team will now welcome Peterhead to Dumbarton on Saturday afternoon in the Scottish League One.

Harley Ewen – Cumbernauld Colts

Harley was named in James Orr’s starting XI on Friday as the squad welcomed East Stirlingshire to Broadwood Stadium in their Lowland League fixture.

It was a tough match for the Light Blue, but the home side managed to take away a point after the game ended 0-0.

The team will now prepare for Saturday afternoon as they welcome Vale of Leithen to Broadwood Stadium in their next league match.
